A Case For Time

While not wanting to show off my watches, I’m giving-in to my long standing rule that watches are to only be displayed when worn for the day. My growing collection of afordable wristwatches have been tucked away in verious leather watch-rolls which I only pull out to mull-over which timepeice I plan to ware for the day. I enjoy seeing all of my choices, fresh every morning as I gauge my feelings then select the perfect timepeice to ware for the day. By displaying my watches in a glass-topped case, I feel as if I’m going to get too use to seeing them and they will no longer give me that sence of freshness or “new” when it’s time to pick one for the day. But my collection now includes several watches that have large bracelets that don’t detach, and storing them has become a bit of a pain. So the watch display case seems to be my only choice in the matter if I want to protect my collection from accedental bumps which leads to scratches…ouch! Starting out with a 3-watch case large enough to hold my biggest watched and fre there I’ll move into a glass-topped 8-watch case to hold other bracelet style watches.
