I read your post but clever insult.

The United States stole Texas from Mexico fair-and-square in a war and annexation. The U.S. even paid for damages from that war and ended up with a treaty from Mexico formalizing the theft after the fact. Both sides accepted the new status quo.

If Mexico decided to take back Texas now, it wouldn’t be legal.


So if Crimea was never a sovereign nation, then it was either a part of Russia or Ukraine. If I read what you’re saying right: Crimea has been apart of the Soviet Union and then Russia continuously since Kruschev’s era.

There were no treaties where the USSR or Russia recognized Crimea as Ukraine’s sovereign territory?

That’s what I’m talking about when I say “legal,” a treaty, constitution or law.
