Hi there, Jason. Thanks for reading my post and for your feedback! I said that for some companies who seek software engineers, which is not the same thing as a web developer (by the way, I got my first job as a web developer at a small company like you did) they look for CS grads, but it doesn’t mean every company is recruiting the same way. And after the CS thing I said that for web and mobile dev your portfolio is more important than your credentials. So, it depends on what kind of position you’re after if a CS is important or worthless.
Also, I would love to hear your story on how you got to your present web dev company.
