It might also be useful to look back over the last year or two to see what your annual spending on clothing is (which might be anxiety-causing…), and then realistically go from there. Like, if you’ve spent $3K on clothing in the last year and think/know that’s way too high, maybe set a goal this year of say, $2500, and then slowly reduce over time to a figure that feels much more comfortable. Especially in light of the deny-deny-binge situation that can so easily happen.
