We Can’t Put Uber and Lyft Back in the Garage

It sounds like a really crappy situation for both drivers and riders, plus even more of the unlicensed driver problem that the proposition was originally trying to alleviate. That being said, I’d be curious to know what Uber & Lyft’s main argument about fingerprinting drivers was, because that seems like a reasonable safety measure to me...? Too burdensome? Too expensive? What was their case against it?
