My Do 1 Thing was have a phone coaching session with a wellness coach in order to get the full $$ incentive from my company. I had been nervously putting it off for no good reason other than who wants to talk to someone on the phone you’ve never met about your blood pressure/weight/cholesterol/etc. Unsurprisingly, all the anxiety was in my head and it went fine and I had nothing to worry about, but still — glad it’s over!
I would love to see some type of research done about corporate wellness programs and see if they are effective at all. My company gives ~$500 a year to do stuff like take a health questionnaire, participate in aforementioned coaching session, and other things, but I honestly don’t see how it will change people’s behavior.
