“Why get an Ipad when you already have a phone?” — is a question I’ve gotten a lot when I rave about my favorite piece of technology. The Ipad came out in 2010, and there was a lot of debate on whether it was worth the money or not. Fast forward to now, and it is one of the greatest tools that offers a lot of variety.

A few years ago, I bought an Ipad even though I really didn’t know how I was going to use it. Back then, I was in undergrad and was using a lot of my time studying. My professor’s would hand out all of the study material we needed, and really never though to upload any of the powerpoint’s on our student website. Eventually, things started becoming digital and there was a huge decrease in paper notes and a spike in digital notes. This transition shaped the way we think about efficient studying and productivity.

It doesn’t always have to be school related, either. The Ipad is also great for creativity as well. The concept of being able to digitally draw artwork is a fascinating experience for creators. This gives you the opportunity to draw, create, and publish your artwork without having to figure out how to digitize the work.

The ease of use compared to other pieces of technology is also a huge advantage of the Ipad. The simplicity of the product makes things less overwhelming, and you can focus more on the task at hand rather than figuring out how to function the device. It’s one-screen interface also gives it the sleek feel which makes it more comfortable to use when doing day-to-day tasks.

Another cool thing about the Ipad is that you can virtually use it like a laptop as well. With features like bluetooth, you can attach a wireless keyboard and set up the Ipad so that it can work as a laptop or an Ipad. This makes the Ipad very versatile and a very compatible piece of technology.

Obviously, with every good thing there is always a bad component. The cost of the Ipad is generally pricey, and it doesn’t include things like the keyboard and apple pencil. But, if you think you’ll make the most out of an Ipad, then it might be a good investment in the long run. I hope this article was insightful, and I’ll see you in the next one!

Stay sweet,
