Wow. So living segregated from problems you don’t have, allows you to think they don’t exist?

I don’t think you understand. I moved here from the Bay Area and I can tell you my neighborhood is a lot more integrated and diverse here in Dallas, as is the school my Grandkids go to. My daughter had to explain the concept of race to her eight year old. It just never accrued to her that the black, brown and Asian kids in her class were any different. Would that we all could be like that. The other big difference is that most people we know ( regardless of race) are Republicans.
