React Advanced London
Oct 18 · 4 min read

Hey React Advanced attendees!

To make sure you enjoy the conference on October 25 as much as possible, we’ve prepared a quick guide for you to get around.

📋 Program

React Advanced Conference will start at 8:00 with registration at Oval Space (29–32 The Oval London).

To enter the venue, please follow the signs. Make sure you come early as the conference opening starts at 9:10, and the registration process can take significant time.

🎟 How to register?

Prepare your tickets — there’s no need to print them out, just save them on your phone, and show them at the registration. We’ll have 2 types of lanyards for your badges: white ones mean you’re OK with being photographed, black ones signal that you don’t want any photos of you taken.

The last talk finishes at 18:00, followed by a 1.5h break before the party. React Advanced Afterparty will start at 19:30, with electronic music by DJ Ken Wheeler and an AV performance by the UK group Polyop. The party is brought to you by our Silver Sponsor Few&Far.

The full program has been published on the website. Choose your way of deep diving into React.

🤓 Advice Lounge

As an attendee, you’ll be able to meet domain experts and community leaders one-on-one to address your problems and get personalized advice on the challenges you’re facing.

There's a booking system for the Advice Loung available here:

💻 GitNation Open Source Stage

Do you have a specific OSS project you'd like to present in front of the React Advanced crowd? The Open Source Stage is the place to do so. In a 30-minute format following the Lunch break, the stage will be ready for your idea presented in a 5 to 7-minute segment. To sign up, simply fill out this form.

☕️ Lunch & Coffee breaks

There will be coffee breaks and lunch served at the conference. Please, take a look at our floorplan contained in your goodie bags and see where the catering spots are located.

We don’t want you to stand in lines for a long time, so there will be 2 Lunch Areas with the same food served. At the registration you’ll get a token indicating which Lunch Area you should go to in order to be served.

There will be 3 lunch options: poultry, fish, and vegan (which is also gluten and lactose-free). If you have an allergy that is not included in the above options, please let us know as soon as possible.

⛅️ Weather

You are going to spend some days in London so pack an umbrella, a warm sweater, and a scarf. The forecast for the week can be useful but the weather can be unpredictable in autumn.
