Last month, we released a new video featuring 2019 Washington Teacher of the Year Robert Hand. Mr. Hand is a family and consumer sciences teacher at Mount Vernon High School.

Within his classroom, Hand focuses on getting to know his students individually and supporting them to find and prepare for a path after high school that fits their interests and goals.

In addition to the full video (which you can watch here), we wanted to share some of the footage from our interviews with Mr. Hand’s former students. After watching these videos, we hope you’ll discover the ways Mr. Hand inspires his students and learn from the advice these graduates have for today’s middle and high school students.
