As the Intern Director, I get asked often: why should someone join Real interns?

The question is a very beautiful and complex one because Real interns is an internship experience tailored to YOU the individual. I could tell you about the classes you will take, and the cool opportunities you get, but it becomes difficult to tell you EXACTLY what you will get because I need to know more about you.

The main focus of the year will be finding the extrordinary gifts and passions God has laid in your heart and unlocking it to engage the world. We provide atmosphere and enviroments to test your gifts and ideas, helping you to put practical wings to your dreams and vision for life.

Usually this conversation of “Why this internship” is one had over coffee for a minimum of 45 minutes as I get to know you and your heart and what you feel called to.

To be honest, THOSE ARE MY FAVORITE TIMES. As it is true for the rest of our staff and Pastors, the opportunity to hear you pour out your heart to us so we can pour out wisdom to you is the main thing.

The value of taking an entire year and devoting it to building a foundation is something that can never be taken for granted. One year is a blink of the eye when it comes to fulfilling vision and living the rest of your life.

For a lot of young adults, a year is often spent WANDERING & WONDERING what is next. So we took that wander and put a path to it. We took the wonder and put wisdom to it, and what comes out is a year that will transform not only how you see the future, but what the future will look like for the church, and the world around you.

I cannot wait to meet you and tell you the stories of interns we had this year and how their perspective, vision, faith, and future have been impacted as well as how they are impacting the community, the church, and the world.

Real interns will challenge you to take a year and “Do Something Real” inside your heart and character, the local church, and the global communitty.
