Tiny goals, yes! Alexandra Franzen just put out this tiny goal worksheet after she hosted a tiny project challenge. I especially love your takeaway about self-created evidence, Meg. Thanks so much for the pep talk!
If anyone’s looking for personal project ideas, by the way, here’s a big collection.
Thanks so much for your thoughtful response, Nora — it means a lot to me. I’m currently in Colorado leading a conservation corps this summer and fall (so response will be brief: limited wifi/town time), but I will likely be in the Madison area this winter at some point. Sending hugs to you!
Hmm, I'm thinking on the debit card… maybe you could tape a piece of yarn to it, such that you can still slide/insert the card, and tie the other end of it to your wallet? Idk how functional that would be, just thinkin aloud!
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences, Anna. Have you found anything that helps your IBS? Has it improved at all over the years, or does it seem to change?
Wishing you good health and relief!
Thanks so much for letting me know, Vaidehi—I appreciate it! How old are the kids you advise? Having them take on personal projects sounds like a wonderful idea! I'd love to hear about them if you do decide to try this in your class. :)
I love this, Meg! I'll let you know if this ends up sparking a full post from me.
I'm grateful my 17-year-old self put her foot down and refused to get confirmed. It put me in lots of uncomfortable situations (at home and at CCD), but I wasn't willing to lie and go against my beliefs (or lack thereof).
