Letter to current tenant:

You can’t live rent free here anymore.

Time to evict your toxicity.

The memories are leaving cigarette burns in the carpet.

The alcohol has left a permanent scent in the walls.

Mirrors and windows are busted and broken.

Bloody knuckles, black eyes, and blue lips.

It’s quite cold here.

The power is out, you have neglected your promises.

She is dying on the inside, yet you keep poisoning her.

Leave now, before she is just a shell.

This house will never be a home.

Renovations can be done, it can be beautiful once more.

But it will never be safe or comforting again.

Because what is a home without a heart?
