Would like to respond to that social media mom: I have a son too. There’s a small statistical probability he’ll grow up to be a doctor, there’s a small statistical probability he’ll grow up to suffer from addiction. Nobody knows the future. What I do know is, he never would have been born if “these drugs” were illegal. Because I never would have been able to work a job, travel outside my home, or meet my husband in the first place. I would have spent the entire last twenty years trapped in a bathroom with incapacitating bladder disease.

We all understand wanting to protect your son’s life. I get to protect my son’s life too.
