Seattle Reign FC announced today that forward Beverly Yanez will be on loan with Melbourne City FC of the Australian W-League for the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) offseason.
Yanez will join fellow Reign FC teammates Jess Fishlock and Lauren Barnes at Melbourne City. This is Yanez’s first stint in the W-League, having previously played abroad in both Norway and Japan.
Melbourne City kicked off W-League play this past Saturday with a 1–0 victory over the Newcastle Jets. Yanez is expected to join the team at the end of November. City’s next match is this Friday against Canberra United at 8 p.m. PT.
Yanez will return to Seattle Reign FC prior to the start of the 2017 NWSL season.
