This offseason, four Reign FC players will head abroad on loan with teams in the Australian W-League and the Japanese Nadeshiko League.

Defender Kendall Fletcher has been loaned to Western Sydney Wanderers FC, Jess Fishlock and Lauren Barnes have been loaned to Melbourne City FC, and Nahomi “Naho” Kawasumi has been loaned to INAC Kobe Leonessa.

Fletcher played in the W-League last offseason with Canberra United FC, making 20 appearances and scoring two goals. The defender will join Western Sydney for the first time, looking to help the team improve on their seventh place finish last season.

Fishlock is returning to Melbourne City FC, where she helped the team win their first W-League title in their inaugural season in 2015. Fishlock scored two goals during the championship winning campaign.

Barnes will be joining Fishlock at Melbourne City. Barnes had previously played in the W-League on loan with the Melbourne Victory.

The W-League begins play on Friday, November 4th.

Naho will be re-joining her old club INAC Kobe Leonessa for the offseason. The forward played with INAC Kobe Leonessa from 2008 to 2016.

Nadeshiko league play has already started, and Naho will be joining the team in time for the Empress Cup.

All loans are scheduled to end prior to the start of the 2017 NWSL preseason.
