Haley Kopmeyer Voted NWSL Player of the Week

The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has announced Seattle Reign FC goalkeeper Haley Kopmeyer is the NWSL Player of the Week for the first week of the 2017 season.

In her first opening day start, Kopmeyer made eight saves during the match, with six coming in the first half, helping Reign FC earn a 1–1 result against Sky Blue FC. Called upon several times early in the match, Kopmeyer made saves against Leah Galton in the 17th minute and Raquel Rodriguez in the 20th to keep Sky Blue off the board.

This is the 14th time a member of Reign FC has won Player of the Week, and it is the first time Kopmeyer has received the honor.
