Seattle Reign FC continued its winning ways on Saturday night with a 2–1 victory over FC Kansas City. Forward Beverly Yanez and midfielder Kim Little each netted a goal in the win.

The home side dominated much of the match, creating numerous chances in the first half that just fell shy of goal.

In the second half, Reign FC kept the pressure on and finally broke through in the 62nd minute. Defender Kendall Fletcher worked her way up the line and sent in a low driven ball to Yanez. Yanez battled to win the pass before calmly turning towards goal and slotting the ball under FC Kansas City goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart.

Just two minutes later, Reign FC doubled its lead as Scottish international Kim Little put away the game-winning goal. Subbed into the match four minutes prior, forward Dani Foxhoven collected a ball from Yanez at the top of the box before sending it over the FC Kansas City’s back line. Little calmly trapped the ball with her chest and finished off the bounce into the upper roof of the net.

The goal ensured Reign FC would walk away with all three points which extended aleague unbeaten streak to six matches and a home unbeaten streak to 18 matches.
