Seattle Reign FC has re-signed midfielder Morgan Andrews. As per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“I am incredibly humbled and honored to be back with my team,” Andrews said. “I consider Seattle and the Reign organization to be another home for me, and I look forward to making an impact next season for the team and for our fans.”

After helping lead USC to a win in the NCAA College Cup in 2016, Andrews was selected with the third overall pick by the Boston Breakers in the 2017 NWSL College Draft. She played one season in Boston before being acquired by Reign FC in the 2018 NWSL Dispersal Draft with the 11th overall pick in the draft.

Andrews made 16 appearances and seven starts for Seattle in the 2018 season. She played a key role in securing Seattle’s midfield, with 525 touches and a 68.46% passing accuracy. Andrews also represented the United States on the U-23 Team in the 2018 Nordic Tournament.

“We were thrilled to get a player of Morgan’s caliber when she came over from Boston,” said Reign FC head coach Vlatko Andonovski. “She’s an aggressive player who can slot in anywhere in the midfield and do very well. We’re excited to have her back in Seattle for next season.”
