Another weekend has passed us by and with it another batch of W-League matches. We did not have any Reign vs Reign matches and Kendall Fletcher’s squad Canberra Untied had a bye, but alas, there was still plenty of action in good ol’ Australia.

First up, let’s chat about Melbourne City. The newest team of the W-League continues to impress on the pitch and they only got better this past weekend as Jess Fishlock and Kim Little made their debuts. After a 4–0 win over Perth Glory, the expansion side is now 3–0 to start the season and doesn’t look to be slowing down anytime soon.

Elsewhere in the W-League, Keelin Winters and the Western Sydney Wanders suffered their second lost of the season to Sydney FC in their derby matchup. After giving up two goals in the first half, the Wanderers cut the lead in half in the 83rd minute but were unable to complete the comeback.

And last but not least, Haley Kopmeyer was between the posts for Brisbane Roar as they suffered their first loss of the season, falling 2–1 to Adelaide United. While the match was knotted up at 1–1 after the half, it was Adelaide who were able to find the game-winner in the 52nd minute and hang on for all three points.

Round 4 should be a doozy considering the fact that we have ourselves a Reign x2 vs Reign matchup as Fishlock and Little will square off against Fletcher.

Be sure to give the following teams a follow on Twitter to stay totally up to date on all the offseason action: Brisbane Roar / Melbourne City / Western Sydney Wanderers / Canberra United
