Schiffel and McNabb Named to U.S. U-23 Roster
U.S. Soccer has announced the U.S. U-23 women’s national team roster for upcoming matches against their counterparts from Japan, England, and Norway in La Manga, Spain. Reign FC’s 37th overall draft pick Kristen McNabb and goalkeeper Madalyn Schiffel are among the 22 players selected.
Reign FC general manager and head coach Laura Harvey will be coaching the squad for the upcoming matches, after overseeing the U-23s during their camp this past January.
The U-23s will open play against Japan on March 2nd, England on March 4th, and close with Norway on March 7th. These are the first international matches of the year for the U-23 WNT.
Schiffel had been called into the U-23 camp this January. While McNabb was not called into camp in January, she has featured for the U-23s before.
