Seattle Reign FC Acquire 2018 2nd Round Pick from Boston Breakers

Seattle Reign FC announced today the club has acquired a 2nd Round Pick in the 2018 NWSL College Draft from the Boston Breakers. In exchange, Reign FC have sent a conditional draft pick to the Breakers. Additionally, as part of the trade, the Breakers acquired the rights to midfielder Lindsay Elston, who has elected not to finish the 2017 season.

Since joining Reign FC in 2016, Elston has appeared in 27 matches, starting 11. This season, Elston scored her first career NWSL goal in a 6–2 victory against the Washington Spirit on May 13th, and also tallied her first career NWSL assist.

“We would like to thank Lindsay for everything she has done for our club,” said Reign FC head coach and general manager Laura Harvey. “We wish her every success in the future.”

Reign FC return to Memorial Stadium on Sunday, September 24th at 6:00 P.M. PT when they host Fan Appreciation Night and face FC Kansas City.
