Seattle Reign FC Defender Kristen McNabb on Loan to Melbourne Victory FC

Seattle Reign FC announced today that defender Kristen McNabb will be loaned to the Melbourne Victory FC of Australia’s W-League during the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) offseason.

“I’m really excited to be joining Melbourne Victory this offseason,” said McNabb. “It’s a great opportunity not only to get game experience but to also explore another country. Everyone here has been extremely welcoming already and I cannot wait for the season to begin.”

This will be McNabb’s first offseason loan and her first stint in the W-League. A fourth round 2017 NWSL College Draft pick of Reign FC, McNabb appeared in 18 matches during the 2017 season, the most by a Reign FC rookie since Christine Nairn appeared in 22 matches in 2013. The defender also scored her first career NWSL goal against the Houston Dash on April 22nd.

McNabb will return to Seattle prior to the start of the 2018 NWSL season.
