Seattle Reign FC Exercise Options on Thirteen Players and Extend Contract Offers to Seven More

Seattle Reign FC announced today that the team has exercised options on thirteen players, while seven players have been offered new contracts for the 2019 NWSL season.

Players whose options were exercised for the 2019 season include: goalkeepers Lydia Williams and Michelle Betos, defenders Lauren Barnes, Theresa Nielsen, Christen Westphal, Alyssa Kleiner, and Steph Catley, midfielders Jessica Fishlock, Elizabeth Addo and Rumi Utsugi, and forwards Nahomi Kawasumi, Jodie Taylor and Jaycie Johnson.

Defenders Kristen McNabb, Yael Averbuch and Megan Oyster, midfielders Morgan Andrews and Bev Yanez, and forwards Kiersten Dallstream and Jasmyne Spencer are all out of contract and will receive new contract offers.

USA forward Megan Rapinoe and USA midfielder Allie Long, as well as Canadian forward Adriana Leon remain on the club’s roster as Federation Players.

Teams will have until 1:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, October 2nd to submit claims for players from the Re-Entry Wire.
