The National Women’s Soccer League announced Thursday the Best XI selections for the 2017 NWSL season. Seattle Reign FC co-captain and midfielder Jess Fishlock was among the 11 players selected.

Fishlock, who missed part of the season due to injury, scored seven goals, one shy of her career best, and tallied two assists. During the course of the 2017 season, Fishlock earned NWSL Player of the Week honors in weeks 2 and 22, and was named to the NWSL Team of the Month for April and June.

Reign FC have had a representative in the Best XI all five NWSL seasons. This marks the fourth time Fishlock has been named to the Best XI, having earned the honor every season but 2016, when she was named to the Second XI. All-time Reign FC have had six different players named to the Best XI, tied with Portland Thorns FC and FC Kansas City for best in the NWSL.
