Reign FC forward Beverly Yanez has re-signed with the club for the 2019 NWSL season.

Yanez has been with Reign FC since the club’s second season in 2014. She joined the club on loan from Japan’s INAC Kobe Leonessa for the 2014 NWSL season before signing with Seattle prior to its 2015 campaign. Yanez was part of the 2014 and 2015 Shield-winning squads that advanced to back-to-back NWSL championship appearances. She was named to the NWSL Best XI in 2015 and has netted 23 goals over her five seasons in Seattle.

“Bev is a truly special player, both on and off the pitch,” said Reign FC owner and president Bill Predmore. “Her incredible work ethic, understanding of the game, and relentless positivity have made her a huge contributor to our success over the past five seasons.”

In the 2018 season, Yanez made 14 starts and played in 20 games for Reign FC. She scored two goals and recorded 46 tackles in 1,177 minutes played. On July 14, she joined Lauren Barnes and Jess Fishlock as only the third player in club history to appear in 100 regular-season matches.

“I’m extremely excited and thankful to re-sign with the Reign,” said Yanez. “I’m looking so forward to the 2019 season!”
