Seattle Reign FC today announced that the club has signed forward Jaycie Johnson. Per league and team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Johnson was originally signed by Seattle on March 30, 2018 as a National Team Replacement Player. Johnson suffered a knee injury after being signed and was placed on the D45 during her recovery. Now fully recovered, Johnson was released from her National Team Replacement Player contract and has been signed to a standard NWSL player agreement.

Johnson was drafted 27th overall in the 2017 NWSL College Draft by the North Carolina Courage, but was sidelined for the entire 2017 campaign with a knee injury. While in college, Johnson was a standout at the University of Nebraska where she scored 42 goals in her collegiate career. She was named to the All-Big Ten First Team her senior season. Johnson also spent time with the U.S. U-23 side in 2015.

“I am very excited and humbled to receive this opportunity,” Johnson said. “I want to thank Bill Predmore and Vlatko Andonovski for allowing me to play for Seattle Reign FC.”
