Reinventure is hiring: Investment Analyst

Reinventure is looking for a highly motivated, curious and self-directed person to join our team as an investment analyst. This is a two-year contract, working from Australia’s largest fintech coworking space Stone & Chalk, based in the new Sydney Startup Hub precinct. You will gain exposure to a network of investors and entrepreneurs and receive a fantastic springboard to a career in the industry. This will better position you to start your own business, become an executive in one of our portfolio companies or accelerate your career in either venture capital or private equity.
We are one of Australia’s largest venture capital funds, with a focus on fintech and adjacent sectors. With Westpac Banking Corporation as our largest limited partner, we operate as their venture arm in market, while maintaining full operational independence. We have a strong, supportive company culture and you will be joining a small, passionate, nimble and fun team.
As an analyst, you would help us manage the day-to- day activities of the company in a number of areas, by bringing:
- Strong analytical skills to apply to market research (market sizing and mapping, industry research), due diligence, and financial modelling (valuation, financings)
- An ability to develop presentation materials for partnership and more broadly
- An appetite to source new early-stage investments, including meeting with founders and entrepreneurs, attending conferences and networking events on behalf of the company
We are looking for candidates who have:
- 2+ years experience in management consulting, investment banking or in a startup
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, structured thinking and excellent analytical skills
- A strong self-directed work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A high level of competence working with data and spreadsheets
- Programming or design experience also beneficial
