Introducing: Loot Crates

Has there ever been a better fit for an item for our game? Loot Crates are now available to be found on loot trips and can be opened for an RNG-based prize.

Loot Crates: What are they, and how do they work?

Our latest addition of Loot Crates into the game has been an update we’ve been excited to reveal for quite some time. Tbh, they are degen af and a lot of fun, and can also be very rewarding. Let’s take a look at how they work:

There are 3 Tiers of Loot Crates. ***You must own a Crate before you can open it:

1. Common (cost to open 400 $CMP)
2. Rare (cost to open 600 $CMP)
3. Mythic (cost to open 800 $CMP)

Finding Crates

Crates can be found at all Loot locations within Longwood Valley. Each location has a slightly different drop rate for the crates, with the longer trips having higher % drop rates. For example, see the Government (10-hour trip) and Residential (5-hour trip) %s below. Government has 2x the chance of looting one of the 3 tiers of crates, granted, the trip is 2x longer.

Opening Crates

Once your Remnant(s) have looted a Common, Rare, or Epic crate, you can then open them.

To do so, simply click on the Crate symbol top right of the game UI, and click “Buy Keys” for the corresponding crate you own. Once purchased, you can then click “Unlock” and spin for a potential reward.

Crate Rewards

Each tier of Crate yields different rewards; as you scale up from common to rare to mythic, the prizes become rarer and (objectively) more desirable. Prizes can include $CMP tokens, NFTs, Loot Keys, Infection (Remnant turns to Zombie) and NEW Traits to equip your Remnant with.

These rewards can be worth $10s if not $100s of dollars, or in the case of the new equip-able traits, add some serious inherent value to your Remnant. And, if you aren’t the gambling type and crates aren’t for you, you will soon be able to trade and sell them for $CMP on the Market.
