I’m Staying On Patreon

The anti-Patreon train seems to be in full bloom. I was shocked when I learned that advocacy journalist Lauren Southern was removed from the patron based rewards program. Frankly, I was scared because (while for now I’m not making much) I immediately jumped to ask myself “will I be next?”
There have been so many attacks on conservative and libertarian commentators online lately, specifically targeting the methods in which they are able to fund their operations. Dr. Jordan Peterson, the soft spoken professor who has become the target for many social justice warriors, was removed from YouTube entirely. The horror stories are rampant, and growing everyday. I’ve lost advertisers for my show because they are afraid they will be attacked because of their association with me.
While the staff at Patreon are publicly left of center, they have a system which is open and fair to content creators. Patreon gives me the ability to grow my program and reward patrons for their support. Patreon is probably the future of my program and frankly, as long as you follow the very simple rules and terms and conditions for Patreon, you will be absolutely fine.
In fact, you can even hear it from the CEO of Patreon, Jack Conte, who was interviewed by Patreon user Dave Rubin.
Because I know my show is inherently political, to diversify my program I launched exclusive content such as Haunted Republic and the monthly satire specials. Patreon has given me the ability to be better, and reward my audience with content they would have never had without Patreon.
