There was a bomb on my block.

Danah, you do realise you’re asking people to actually think for themselves in assuming responsibility and calling mainstream media to account? How that would change so much in the world. Even flying in the face of modest conventionality, it is a huge ask. You’re making an assumption that there is standard, even a lean one that subscribed to a modicum of journalistic ethics, one I suspect that outlived its contemporary shelf life with the likes of Morrow & Co : we’re well into the era junkie-journalism; of what I have come to call ‘experiential tourism of disaster’: So much so, no one even reacts to an exposé anymore, let alone known cases of fraudulent photo-ops and worse, news stories. Responsibility in an era of dismissive, gratuitous moral ineptitude — how does that work?

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
