Vote Explanation for H.Con.Res. 55, a Concurrent Resolution to Withdraw Troops from Iraq and Syria by the End of the Year

Today the House rejected a resolution to end U.S. military action in Iraq and Syria by the end of the year. I supported this legislation because before we put another American life on the line I believe the U.S. needs to have a real debate on our conflict in the Middle East. We need to explicitly authorize any military action the U.S. takes rather than depending on the military authorization following 9/11, almost 14 years ago.
