Vote Explanation for the Small Business Broadband Deployment Act (H.R. 4596)

Today the House of Representatives passed the bipartisan Small Business Broadband Deployment Act (H.R. 4596).

This legislation will allow internet service providers who service less than 250,000 customers relief for five years from overly burdensome Federal Communications Commission (FCC) disclosure regulations.

I voted for this bill because it allows small internet service providers to spend more money on improving their services rather than complying with even more regulations. This is a win for consumers and for business.

This bill passed the House unanimously.
