New Episode: Building Bridges with Rep. Jeff Fortenberry

Rep. Jared Huffman

From differing perspectives on the role religion should play in politics, to Russian interference in the 2016 election, to Trump’s summit in Helsinki, you’re in for a wide ranging discussion on this week’s episode of “Off the Cuff with Rep. Huffman” with my special guest, Rep. Jeff Fortenberry (R-NE).

Jeff and I also spend some time unpacking just how Representatives like us — whose districts, backgrounds, and interests are so divergent — can build bridges across the aisle and get things done in an increasingly partisan political climate.

For those of you who haven’t heard of my friend from Nebraska, Rep. Fortenberry is a Republican who represents his state’s first congressional district. He has served in Congress since 2005, and he sits on the powerful House Appropriations Committee and has recently became chairman of the Legislative Branch Subcommittee.

Have a question? Please send it to huffmanpodcast@gmail.com and you can hear me answer on a future episode of “Off the Cuff with Rep. Huffman.”

Cheers!

Rep. Jared Huffman
