A Day in DC with the FCC IAC

Rep. Saine participated in his first Federal Communications Commission Intergovernmental Advisory Committee meeting in Washington, D.C, on Friday of this past week. Members of the committee discussed a number of issues including robocalls, broadband deployment and video relay services.

Members of the committee also had an opportunity to have a conversation with FCC Chairman Ajit Pai.

The Intergovernmental Advisory Committee is comprised of representatives from state, local and tribal governments and advises the FCC on communication issues that impact their areas.

Saine said of the meeting: “I am very encouraged to see the enthusiasm with which Chairman Pai engaged our committee. I think it demonstrates strong leadership that will help lead the United States into an ever brighter future with regards to communications and broadband access.”
