I am Gussie, the Owner & Developer of Repsona LLC.

Task management tool, Knowledge sharing tool, convenient!

I have used various tools in various projects so far. I’ve been using all the tools without any particular inconvenience and the motivation to switch, but I wasn’t completely satisfied.

  • Slow
  • Tacky
  • Hard to use
  • No kanban
  • No Gantt chart
  • Nothing like Wiki
  • Somehow project doesn’t go well
  • It will be fun if employees are connected more like Twitter.
  • It will be interesting if skill level improvement is visualized.
  • A.I. will work automatically
  • It would be nice to have a rail to unconsciously follow PMBOK.
  • (When you are about to make a bad comment) The bot tells you “Your comment, isn’t it too harsh?”

I imagined something like this, and I couldn’t stop being excited, so I decided to make it myself.

What are the major differences from other tools?

There are not many task management tools that can use Gantt charts, Kanban, and Knowledge sharing on a project basis. And I want it to be simple, easy to understand and run smoothly.

Gantt charts are useful for planning
The card format is easy to see
I want to write knowledge sharing in the same tool

I thought that social media inside the task management tool would make our job more enjoyable. There is an interesting Twitter-like conversation there. (This is a hypothesis)

Stream here, like a tweet

I thought that if there was an “organization” above the project, the activity in the task management tool could be used as an indicator of “evaluation”. With a function like “Upgrading skills!”, Reviewing the numbers regularly will lead to the growth of members (this is also a hypothesis).

“Thank you!” and “JavaScript” gathering

Other tools have a lot of functions to finish the task, but there are not many ways to enjoy it. I want to make the relationship with people at work fun and meaningful. I’m thinking about such a rough direction.

Does this tool work automatically by A.I.?

Work becomes more automated and entertaining. I look forward to that future. I want to make it, but it is not implemented yet. For now, I want to develop with priority is

  • Repeated task
  • Organization and scoring
  • More easy to use
  • Mobile version
  • Slack integration

Bot says, “Your comment, isn’t it too harsh?”. I wrote a huge amount of ideas that it would be interesting if there was such a feature. I would like to introduce them in Medium and implement them.

Official launch on October 1, 2019.

I am very happy to get feedback. You can contact us on Twitter or website. I would like to respond at an unusual speed.

What I found after actually making and releasing

I learned the severity of the world. What was the situation one month after beta release? What should I do? I would like to write in other articles such as experiences and failure stories, my own considerations and the results of trial and error.

e.g. Google Ads results

Technical things

I selected Vue.js / Nuxt.js / Sails.js / TypeScript / AWS Fargate as the technology stack. In particular, I think Nuxt.js was a great answer. The details of this structure and the knowledge gained will be presented in other articles.

e.g. System architecture
e.g. AWS architecture

Conclusion

  • I was excited to make the task management tool I wanted.
  • Officially released. Your feedback is welcome!
  • I want to share experiences and technical content.
