Although this article is a superficial and emotional diatribe conflating the Classics (or, better said, the author’s biased, myopic, partial and distorted view of them), with the alt-right and with modern, influential thinkers (like Daryush “Roosh V” Valizadeh, who most people probably have never heard of) it will be unfair to not give Donna credit for the “interesting” yet barely coherent word salad she has managed to come up with.
Fortunately, the article is easy to summarize in just a few phrases: following Donald Trump’s historic win in the 2016 Presidential Election, Donna felt like venting online… so she a added a bit of noise around some classic buzzwords (alt-right, antisemitic, homophobic, Nazi, Hitler, Western Civilization, Pepe the Frog, etc), rhetorical constructs ( transphobic, islamophobic) and popular Myths among the Far-Left (toxic masculinity) and hoped these tricks, alone, can be efficient surrogates in masking the dryness of what (otherwise) is an array of platitudes that, event though might seem copy-pasted from your average Alt-Left blog, are actually very representative for Donna’s perfectly hermetic, entirely ideological and dogmatic world-view.
After reading such articles, one can only be left to observe: Humanities, truly seem to be regressing to a (constantly regressing) mean while true intellectuals seem to become a rarity in the field.
