The first Saturday after the commencement of classes marked the Liberty University tradition known as the Block Party! Always a fun way for new students and upperclassmen to meet and mingle!

The Block Party had it all… field day style. All of the competitive games are held on campus, ranging from tug-of-war and volleyball to carnival rides, obstacle courses and much, much more.

The annual kick off festival hosted by Student Activities has developed over the years into an evening full of entertainment. Hosting a variety of rides & games with local food vendors.

But how was such an extraordinary event possible? Every year and in many events, volunteers fill an often overlooked role.

“We could not be more grateful for our volunteers! The role that volunteers play in our organization is huge and we enjoy working with them every day,” Marketing Coordinator Kari Moye said.

The Block Party would not be possible without the many volunteers who dedicated their time preparing for the event.

“I think it is awesome how many people attended the Block Party this year. We have had volunteers continue to come back year after year and we truly appreciate all of the hard work and effort that they have put in,” Student Activities Event Supervisor Erin Diaz said.

Uncover new volunteer opportunities that matter to you, wherever you are. Volunteering can be far more than simply doing a good deed.
