Eric Braeden (born as Hans-Jörg Gudegast) has a net worth of $25 million. Being born in Germany, near in a small town near Kiel, he spent 18 years of his life there before moving to the USA. We all know our stereotypes about Germans — they were always good with money. Obviously Eric Braeden is no exception. Especially when his father was a former major, who probably strictly taught his son manners and self-control. I bet his famous moustache is also part of his German heritage. Throughout the 1970s, he guest-starred in a variety of television shows including The Six Million Dollar Man, Wonder Woman, and The Mary Tyler Moore Show and also appeared in several episodes of the long-running CBS western series Gunsmoke.
In 1980 Eric started starring in his most famous soap opera The Young and the Restless which has been aired for a little over 30 years. We might also remember him as a pretentious and rich fiancé John Jacob Astor IV of Titanic’s main character Rose. He is definitely a father material with his moustache and big strictly looking eyebrows. Another “left wing” film he starred in was called the Man Who Came Back.
