This isn’t super serious but I was at Wawa just now and some dick college student took my cold brew that I had ordered and patiently waited for before I even had a chance to step up to grab it. I stared him the fuck down while he mixed splenda and a bunch of other garbage into it at the coffee bar, effectively turning into shit.

I probably would’ve said something but he had headphones in, listening to Macklemore or whoever these kids are into. Then, as though he were rubbing it in my face that he just fucked my coffee up, he went back and complained to the deli person that they gave him the wrong order. I could’ve stepped in to been like ‘no ur wrong’ but god dammit I just don’t give a crap anymore.

Look, this is a common occurrence. I worked at Wawa for 7 years and I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count how many times these ‘mistakes in perception’ happen, where someone purposefully steps on someone else to get what they want, and when they don’t: they victimize whoever is around. Maybe that’s human nature, but at the same time, I really believe that it’s just people being willfully ignorant to others. Rarely do people take a moment to think: ‘oh maybe others ordered shit/living a life’. I really try to. Not that I am perfect, but Wawa beat that into me.

I do know this: if you don’t attempt to comfortably live in another person’s shoes before the decisions you make: seriously go fuck yourself. I don’t care if you’re a stranger or an acquaintance or you’ve known me for years. *Fuck yourself* You secretly want to anyway. This isn’t about me not getting my coffee either cuz I got it and it was fantastic. This is about beloved human beings who are essentially sociopaths.
