Greetings PawSox Fans!

Get your running, walking or strolling shoes on and head to McCoy Stadium to enjoy a great run, brisk walk or stroll on November 9th for a great cause.

Here is all the Info!

The 5K supports our brave men and women of the United States Military!

Being a non-runner, I enjoy seeing the running community, families, and friends come together for a friendly gathering that includes snacks, drinks, and several vendors.

One of the sponsors, Planet Fitness gathers together for the National Anthem prior to the run.

The runners/walkers head to the starting line.

A Pawtucket Poice Officer gets in position to safely guide all participants through the course…

And they’re off!

There are many runners that are very competitive, not just with others but with themselves. Last year's winner Bronson crossed the finish line just a shade over 15 minutes! Just about 3.1 miles in 15 minutes!

Quite frankly, if I was going to run in the 5.K they would use a different timing device…A sundial!

.

The finish line is inside the ballpark, with the final leg being along the warning track where many great players roamed…

Please remember, you don't have to run! You can jog or walk with your family…

Or just enjoy a nice stroll with family, friends, and neighbors…

You can even choose to race against your kid(s)!

After the race, all participants meet and greet each other and have a sensational time. Awards are presented in the festive atmosphere. Not just for the first place male and female, but also the winning team, 2018 Team winner was the Tuesday Night Turtles…

The Undefeated Wheelchair champion Graham Watkins holds on to his title, posing with Larry Lucchino and others…He has won every 5K!

PawSox Senior Vice President of Corporate Partnerships, Mike “Gwynnie” Gwynn has that Uncle Sam look. “We Want You to take part in this event!”

Hope to see you at the 5K, it’s truly the place to be on November 9th. It's great to support our brave men and women of the military while having a fun time. Feel free to visit pawsox.com for further info, or call Hannah Butler at 401–724–7300 ext 5181 Hannah will be, “Here For You!”

Love hearing from you _________________rickm@pawsox.com
