When I go to a movie I don’t expect it to be bad, good, or great — I just want to go see the movie.
Living without expectations
Jason Fried

Interesting you bring up movies. As a kid, back in the olden days when you rented VHS, I always felt bad for picking out a movie my family didn’t like. Conversely, I tried to make others feel bad about doing the same thing. I do this till this day. More on the side of setting high expectations for an outing. I’m so paralyzed by the decision of buying tickets for fear that the show, movie, etc….will be bad. That I or my company will be disappointed.
