The Table of Practice

This week I completed my scrappy Holy Table of Practice, using a large piece of thick water colour paper, a black permanent marker and some red ink.

A work in progress shot

I made the piece to size, 24" x 24", and will use it laid upon a table I have which is of the same dimensions (a wonderful coincidence). This is my stand-in Holy Table of Practice until I have the time and resources to create a real wooden Holy Table of Practice, crafted of “sweet wood” as is specified. Again, my goal is to get up and running as quickly as possible, and then to refine my tools and furniture over time.

My next goal is to improve upon the paper printout versions of the lamen and ring, but I intend to begin using the scrappy set-up I have this weekend. I will record my ritual results here as they occur. I’m hoping that my bare-minimum scrappy set-up will in fact bare some results ;)
