Bun with a braid and cushion

Here’s a bun that I wore the other day.

1. Split your hair in two sections from ear to ear. Put the lower one on a ponytail while making the braid.
2. Start the French braid from the forehead and add hair only from above. Continue the braid till the other ear and then complete it without adding any hair. I recommend to use invisible plastic bobbles.
3. Make sure that the ponytail is tight and tease the hair to have more volume. Place the cushion and secure it with bobby pins.
4. Wrap the braid around the bun (“doughnut”) and secure it with bobby pins. When finishing the style, I prefer to loose the braid a little to make it wider. Use hairspray. The pictures were taken after work so that’s why there’s some loose hair.
5. Note: If you would like to wear this in a celebration, you can add special bobby pins with diamonds to the braid.
