Oatmeal Pancakes — My Desi tadka recipe

Oatmeal Pancake Desi tadka with plain Yoghurt

Ahh! we were tired of having the same style of oatmeal breakfast with a notion of eating healthy. Well… I have been trying out few different recipes of oatmeal from last week. And these recipes are tasty and healthy.

I am going to share one recipe (desi tadka)here. It is very simple.

Ingredients:

  1. Ground oatmeal 2 cups
  2. Finely chopped onions 1/2 cup
  3. Finely chopped green onions 1/2 cup
  4. Finely chopped 2 green chilies
  5. 1/2 cup egg white
  6. Finely chopped curry leaves
  7. Ground cumin seeds 1/2 tea spoon
  8. Chopped cilantro
  9. Salt to taste.
  10. Water.

Procedure: Mix all these ingredients in a bowl and make a little bit lighter than medium batter.

Heat up a non-stick flat pan and spray PAM or you can use a little olive oil. Now using a deep serving spoon, pour the batter in the middle of the pan and slowly spread out the batter into a thinner layer using the serving spoon. Put the flame into medium. Once the downward side is cooked, flip it upside down and let it cook for few mins. And your oatmeal pancake ‘desi tadka’ is ready to serve.

Serve it hot with plain Yoghurt or with green mint chutney. The above given amount of ingredients serves 2. Don’t forget to have milk tea(Chai).

My husband is loving it and he is requesting the same breakfast for tomorrow.

Namaste!
