How I feel this Morning

By: Phillip O’Donnell

This was inspired by my recent rendezvous with Alexander and our new project.

The world spins at an incredulous speed tossing and turning me about. The tilt on its axis sends me sprawling to the ground to maintain some sort of stability. Holy shit! The world has just turned upside down! Now, I grab the grass to keep myself from falling, but god damn it, it’s mowed too short to hold me! Instead, each handful rips from the ground, now ceiling, and at last, I fall into oblivion, racing towards the outskirts of the atmosphere, then, off to the stars.

I look whence I came and see a shrinking globe of heavenly beauty brightly lit with hues of green and blue and those patches of white. “No!” I cry out, but my voice cannot be heard. In the great silence, my thoughts begin to explode in volume until I can think no more. In silence within and without, I now float into this dark oblivion, but oh, the things that reveal themselves for only a moment! The truth of existence flashing in and out of view before my eyes! I cannot think of any worthier destiny than to float forever in the essence of the universe.
