Rejection Type 1: Ask stranger about their business challenge and promise an innovation will happen after I had enough information from others in the same industry

I guess some people will ask a colleague or someone in the same social or business circle this question: what is your top challenge these day?

They would exchange ideas, views or perhaps solution depend on their motive.

What happen when I ask the same question to a stranger outside of my social circle? I got these response from difference people in one way or another:

It a bit funny to spend my time and help you on this, I don’t even understand your project vision.

You never know what my business look like but since the beginning you always said you will help and solve our challenges. Our business is doing pretty well.

When I tried to explain a bit more this is what I got:
That is for your business propose, not mine.

That’s summarized many and similar rejections I got for the last 15 months. It is not a negative answer but an opinion.
