Let’s not beat around the bush, the font rendering on Windows is complete garbage. It’s the main reason why I don’t and won’t use a Windows device for design work.

I think in summary you’re saying that Windows does not have a unifying, consistent, design approach. Instead it is has, in many ways, all the problems that Linux currently has, in that it looks and operates like it was designed by a committee. It is, jarring, distracting and reduces productivity.

Microsoft should have solved all of these issues by now but instead they got complacent and only started moving their asses when there was a threat. Now it’s the metaphorical equivalent of people running through a burning building, trying to put out the fire with cups of water…
