A warning from Bill Gates, Elon Musk, and Stephen Hawking

This is a self leveling problem.

If someone does not have work that allows them to consume products made in automated factories they will provide for themselves.

We sometimes forget that when we are called consumers it doesn’t imply that we must consume what they want us to.

I enjoy the perks of modern life but I am by no means bound to them.

Humans NEED……

  1. Water.
  2. Food.
  3. Shelter.
  4. Clothing.
  5. Tools.
  6. Companionship.

Every single thing we have beyond that is a want.

That’s the leverage we have. When corporations make things and try to sell them there have to be people that can afford to buy them so this group of consumers must be created and maintained or there will be nothing but a sea of idle robots. Cool…..

I know how to forge scrap metals into useful things using fuel that I can produce myself. I view this supply of refined metals as a harvestable resource that will certainly last all of my life. If I make shovels, plows and tools for people in my small town do you suppose I might be able to trade this for food among the people I know?

Most of the 7 billion people on this planet already can’t afford the stuff for sale on amazon so we aren’t even really talking about significant change for those folks.

We are all this guy….. and yes Jules, he’s already been called.
