I was always in the “couldn’t be arsed” category when it came to politics even though I have always consumed political shows like Newsnight and Question time.
Last year I voted for the first time. Not because I liked Ed Miliband or what his Labour party offered. But because I was pissed off enough by the Tories bedroom tax, by how it had affected people I knew, that I just had to register myself against it in someway.
But Corbyn has offered for the first time in my life a genuine change to the status quo, a counter to the Tories, not one of these Red Tories who are trying to burn the house down.
Last week I signed I joined the Labour Party so I can vote in support of Corbyn in the leadership contest. If he wins I will stay a member. If he loses I will leave and won’t be going back.
